After watching street luge in the 1997 ESPN X-Games , I built my own luge and started riding. I started racing in 2001 when I was pursuing my undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering at Purdue University, Indiana, USA.
As of 2012, I have raced in Australia, Austria, Brazil, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States. My riding and racing has spanned all 6 continents.
My personal best maximum speed is 131 km/h achieved at the 2011 IGSA World Championship at Teutonia, Brazil.
I love to ride fast and technical roads offering sweepers, chicanes, hairpins, and straights of over 100 km/h, and enjoy challenging myself on newly found terrain.
At the beginning of the 2012 season, I had set a goal for myself and that was to try and become the 2012 IGSA World Cup Series Champion in Street Luge, which I had finally accomplished at the end of the season. It was such a great feeling to finally see my hard work pay off after being involved in this sport for over 15 years.
